- Affected Teaching
- Many of the false versions omit “when they shall rise” because the Gnostics did not believe in a physical resurrection but in a spiritual resurrection and the modern versions follow suit. This is where the Jehovah’s Witnesses get their disbelief in a physical resurrection. Many in the New Age believe only in a spiritual resurrection but the great promise to the believer, written in many parts of the Bible is the fact of the physical resurrection of the believer on the last day when they will receive their glorified spiritual bodies, so we will be able to be in the presence of God without being consumed. (1 Cor 15:44 KJV) It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. No amount of Gnostic deception will ever deprive the Believer of that great hope.
