Grandmaclair: I don't believe he did that
GMC: There are many that believe all scripture is the word of God including the KJV. What you didn't seem to get is the false teaching from book writers that ONLY the KJV is the word of God not that the KJV is not the word of God.
GMC: This teaching puts fear in those that are searching for the truth and makes them believe that an easier to read version is false.
GMC: Which has not been proven as fact and may even make it impossible for some to find the truth who have trouble understand the form of the KJV.( especial the cults that use the KJV to twist the facts of what it really says.)
"Preface to the King James Version 1611 (A Satisfaction To Our Brethren) Now what can be more available thereto, than to deliver God's book unto God's people in a tongue which they understand? Since of a hidden treasure, and of a fountain that is sealed, there is no profit,…………… so, if we building upon their foundation that went before us, and being holpen by their labours, do endeavor to make that better which they left so good; no man, we are sure, hath cause to mislike us; they, we persuade ourselves, if they were alive, would thank us." not a diluted, changed, by adding and subtracting words and whole verses from God's word.
from dcforrey As for "blemishes", that's actually the term used by the KJV translators themselves. It is interesting that the KJV translators argued against the very kind of thinking used by KJVO people today. Again, will you please tell me what God said on the occasion I cited? Did God say "persuade", or did he say "entice"?
they are perversions of God's word,

You have no proof that the left out verses or words were in the original in the first place or if they were put there by an interpreter for the interpretors idea of clarification. There is no proof that any of these changes that bothered the KJVO book writers even change the true meaning of what the scriptures are saying in context.
GMC:Show me something the NIV says that changes what the KJV says, ( that when comparing the meanings of words in the original words translated from is considered.)
Rev 22:16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star. The deliverate misuse and deletion of Lucifer is diabolical. You know in the OT the priests were to preserve the Scriptures which were written by the prophets, and Paul confirms that the Jews were in charge of the oracles of God in Romans 3:2. When Christ died and the veil of the temple was torn asunder, the responsibility of safeguarding the Scriptures written by the Apostles fell to all believers, all those in the Body of Christ. 1Th 5:21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
Well, the KJB was good for all of Christianity for over four hundred years, and it has been proven and we should hold fast to what is good. I will answer the rest of you post later. Time to lay down awhile. :-)

I will avoid his posts in the future. I think we all should, and only entertain those who are open to the truth.
I, too, believe the KJV is the worda God...BUT NOT THE ONLY VALID ENGLISH VERSION. I believe there are several older and newer versions which are just as much the worda God as the KJV is, and are just as valid. And no one can prove any differently. just because they differ among themselves doesn't make one right & one wrong, unless one is fulla obvious mistranslations . (The JWs' "NWT" was DELIBERATELY altered to fit JW doctrines.)

I cannot understand the mentality either, nor the spirit behind such motivations to destroy the word of God for those that are newcomers on the block, that even a child can see the deterioration in them. I am probably going to go ahead and discuss with people as long as they are not abusive...such as steelmaker. I just read a couple posts of his, and I will simply answer as best as i can and pray what is written will be considered. Your sister in Christ.
I promise I will carefully consider all your answers. But I have been at this for over 22 years, & have seen just about every excuse the KJVOs have ever invented, and disproven all of them. They simply cannot get by that big ole bear of NO SCRIPTURAL SUPPORT.
However, there's ONE valid excuse for being KJVO-PERSONAL PREFERENCE. If one feels comfortable using only the KJV, then one should stick with it. However, one is NEVER CORRECT to believe or advocate the man-made KJVO MYTH...the false belief that the KJV is the ONLY valid English Bible version on the block.
