Hey Fearless, do you answer questions? Let me elaborate more from the initial message I first posted to you a few minutes ago: Your and my view of the KJV differ, which is okay, no tires will be slashed. I have asked these questions of 18 individuals in the past months, 16 of them outright evaded even addressing them, one gave answers that were not even related to the topics and answered questions with questions, and one brother desired clarification, which I am working on. I'm just wondering if there is anyone even interested in taking the time to dialogue with me. You made the statement you did not want to give "drive by" answers. How you answer them is your business, and as you did not dictate the questions I will not dictate the manner you answer them or content.
I am pretty straight forward in criticism, and it is difficult to convey inflection, tone of voice, and intent over text.
1Co 14:20 Brethren, be not children in understanding: howbeit in malice be ye children, but in understanding be men.
If we want to have a good old Bad Attitude Baptist Blowout/flamewar, I'm not interested. I am a Pauline Dispensationalist for one thing, a "hyper" and a "dry cleaner".
Second, I would prefer we be instructive and not malicious. Also, these questions are not trick or leading ones, I am being straightforward. Now, carry on, your answers are dictated by the questions and the manner I asked them, my comments to your answers will be dictated by the answers and the manner they are put forth. I don't want you to feel ganged-up on, many of us here are KJV "Only", I just want to have a dialogue with you. I would prefer if I had my druthers that you had as much Scripture to answer them as possible, again, your method of answering them is up to you. Jesus said in Matthew 12 that by our words we would be justified, and by out words we would be condemned. Not eternal salvation or damnation, as we are saved by faith, not our day to day conversations, but we will both be justified or condemend before this little court of inquiry by our words and conduct.
I was not born KJV Only, and thought the sun rose and set on my NASB at one time, till I examined the issue and examined both sides.
Now, here's the ball, my friend, run with it. Grace and peace to you.
1.) Is there any salvation apart from faith?
2.) Ro 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
What specifically, is this "word of God" in this verse.
3.) Is the "word of God" in question 2 inspired?
4.) Where, location exact, is the word of God of question 2?
5.) Is there an "uninspired" word of God?
6.) Acts 2:5 And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.
6 Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.
7 And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?
8 And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?
9 Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia,
10 Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes,
11 Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.
The Bible teaches "tongues" are languages, "unknown tongues" are foreign languages to the hearer. The 12 Apostles spoke to Jews all over the world in their own languages in this passage in Acts 2, were these words inspired?
7.)Ro 1:2 (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,)
2Ti 3:15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
Are the "holy scriptures" of these verses the "original manuscripts"
Awaiting your reply from the new guy.
