Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:

5:39 But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.

This "But I say unto you" is repeated many times by Christ, so, no, stoning is no longer done.

See how silly your agument is?

I can't believe you are quoting the Sermon on the Mount to justify the OT???? That's like quoting the OT and saying you are not. The Sermon on the mount is doctrinally not for Born Again Christians. You need to go back to Bible Study 101, how can you be so far off the mark is beyond me.
Do you realize that Matthew 5:39 is in fact an OT quote? You can find in in Deuteronomy 19:21. 19:21 And thine eye shall not pity; but life shall go for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot.

Born Again Christians are far better served doing the following instead of letting the Liberals slap us around.

Rom.12:17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.

12:18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.

12:19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

12:20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.

We do this now, when we capture them and put them in prison.

Pro 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

Pro 3:6
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
