HI WENDY

Loving one's enemies certainly doesnt make any sense to the natural man. The natual man knows the worldly way to get things done: might makes right and dont get mad get even, and winning is everything.

To no man, alive or dead does that make any sense. I have seen this type of misunderstanding before a long time ago. And the way I remember the " Love Your Enemy " is embedded in the Jewish Sermon on the Mount. I wonder if those who take the Sermon to mean its pointing to this present Church age too?

It has been my practice that whenever I come up against scripture that doesn't make sense to me. There just has to be an answer that does make sense. Loving your enemies just doesn't seem to make sense no matter how you cut it and for good reason.

I will ask anyone if they still think cutting off hands for stealing is a good practice to do today and is it Biblical. If you say no, it's not for today, then you must be saying that because we no longer live under the law. Do we live under the law or under grace? Are we Jews or are we Christians? Does anyone realize that Jesus said many things to the Jews that seemed confusing and on purpose and yet latter on He explains them to His disciples.

I know ask anyone on this baord, when Jesus gave the Sermon on the Mount was it before or after He rose from the Dead and to who? Thanks.
