cheezit,
You know that I like and admire you for your posts and your humor, but in this case I don't know why you take up for Steelmaker? I have given him evidence but he feesl that is better to insult me and call names than to deal with what is at hand. he also made claims about Wiliam John Burgon that are simply untrue. He made the stupid remark that Erasmus was a Catholic. What does Erasmus being or not being a Catholic have to do with his work on the NT Greek text and its relation to what the KJV translators used? What prrof is he looking for and why can't you see that I refuse to debate a man who thinks it better to insult and call us cultists?

Back to Erasmus. Were you or Steelamker aware that he was going to be ex-communicated because of his constant attacks on the clergy for their moral deficiencies? were you aware that because of his standing and respect amongst Catholics they were afraid of the backlash? Were you also aware that on his deathbed he was "surrounded by his Protestant friends?" Were you also aware that Romanism today refers to him as a "humanist?" Of course that is meant to "discredit" him. Obviously he must of been a Protestant or his work on the NT Greek text for the RCC today to refer to this great scholar as a "humanist." If he were alive he would wear that as a badge of honor. Have you ever the read the book "Bondage of the Will?" It is the correspondence between Luther and Erasmus on Luther's belief that man's will is bound by the sin nature.

Proverbs 29:2 "When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn."
