XRT Tim: My proof:

Actually, it's MY proof. Betcha cannot prove me wrong!

If the above is not blind hate then I don't know what hate is. The lies and slander is mind boggling. If Steelmaker wants an honest debate why does he need to make such outrageous comments?

[b] it's FACT. Betcha cannot prove them wrong!

Calling those who hold to the KJV as God's Word for English speaking people as KJVO is what is the myth since I have never said that every one in the world must learn English and read the KJV to have the Word of God.

I have contended that the origin of the current KJVO myth is Dr. Wilkinson's book, & I see that no KJVO is able to show us differently.

Steelmaker is obviously ignorant to the fact that it is the the Hebrew and Greek manuscripts that we believe are the preserved Word of God since the OT was written in Hebrew and the NT was written in Greek.

I believe the same. The probs arive over the TRANSLATIONS of those mss.

BTW Steelmaker, will you ever answer my point that 90% of manuscript evidence supports the Received text (Textus Receptus) the Greek manuscript from which the KJV NT was translated from?

I HAVE. I have asked the rhetorical question upon several occasions if any of you KJVOs were there when these mss were being written. If not, you CANNOT prove this'n's right & that'n's wrong with authority, and neither can I. therefore I accept ALL THAT GOD HAS PRESERVED FOR US, and I DON'T tryta second-guess GOD about any of them being right or wrong.

How about the Msoretic Hebrew text that the KJV translators used for the OT? Have you ever read the history of the Textus Receptus as it relates to the brilliant scholar Erasmus? Probably not but instead you bring out red herrings like Wilkinson.

Yes, I have read the history of the TR, made by the CATHOLIC Erasmus Desiderius, revised at least 3 times by himself, and revised at least 30 times in toto.

I spent an entire year in Bible College studying this issue and not once did I ever hear the name of Wilkinson mentioned, and you know why, because it ain't what we base our view of the KJV on, that is simply your opinion.

Yes, I know why-most KJVO seminaries wanna avoid mention of him like a dose of plague. They're concerned that their students might see the ORIGIN of the school's KJVO doctrine.

Now if you want to read the works of Erasmus or William John (Dean) Burgon (I guess Erasmus and Burgon must be two of the sleazy book sellers Steel is talking about?) than we might have something to actually talk about but until you quit making your incediary remarks there is absolutely nothing to talk to you about!

I have read Burgon's Revision Revised, and if YOU have, you shoulda noted that he did NOT hold the TR in very high esteem, & that he was open to a better English Bible translation being made. I believe we all agree that the RV, which DB despised, is a groddy translation.

DB NEVER advocated KJVOism!
