You agree about the popes hat is mimicing Dagon, right? You also acknowledge that popes and priests have no scriptural backup. You also agree that nowhere in the Bible is Mary called the queen of heaven.
Now you cited 1 john 5:16 for your justification of Purgatory.. But look at the verse again, does the "sin unto death" mention venial or mortal sin? Does the "sin unto death" verse mention going to a said place if this sin is commited?Does this verse use the word "purgatory"? Does this verse talk about how long one spends in there and how does one get out??
Why doesnt the blood cover these supposed "venial"sins???
Whatever the verse means , it certainly does not allow for the stretch of imagination called purgatory.

In all liklihood, the verse is addressing a christian who lives for self and his testimony for the Lord is unprofitable and the Lord takes him home to glory prematurely. But I may not have this verse not quite right but it certainly is clear that it does not talk about a place called purgatory where the catholic must spend time after death to be chastized for his said venial sins. And it certainly leaves no room for indulgences to be made to bail someone out of this imaginary place.
