It is true that the Bible was written for Christians. No Christian can ignore the message of Galatians, Romans or Corinthians. However, its is also important to realize who the message is for. James was writing to the 12 scattered tribes. His message was not the same as Paul's.

When Paul wrote to the Romans, the Corinthians, the Galatians... He addressed problems and circumstances. Christians look at them and follow them, but you cannot deny that they were written to address a certain problem or circumstance. Those scripture are still just as relevant to us.

So it's back to James vs. Paul. So many say they are in agreeance, but they aren't. Paul clearly spoke about faith without works, while James clearly said faith with works.

I have no problem with works.... They are good, but they don't save you. Even the heathen can do works and they are not saved. Even those claiming to be Christ's can do works and they are not saved.

It is not works that save you.... It's grace through faith alone, as Paul taught. Yes, the works will manifest, but they are not what saves us. It's the faith, not the works. The works are simply "gravy" and if you never produce it, you can still be saved.

Now, I don't want to start another Catholic vs. Protestant war.... And in fact, I didn't. You did, Radar.

<<It's not true that we ignore the rest of the Bible. We accept all of it as the Word of God. Why would we have readings from Scripture at every Mass if we intend to ignore it?>>

What about Christmas? What about Easter? What about all the "Hail Mary's"? What about Halloween? Catholics started all that crap! And none of it is Biblical.

How about the notion that you claim a line of succession to Peter which is unproven and unbiblical? There may be some Popes who were truly men of God, but the majority of them weren't.

Just because Catholics throw God a bone by reading 3 verses during service doesn't mean you follow the Bible. I've been to your "Mass" and I am not impressed.
