I had a good friend in a Baptist church I use to go to. She was very religious and firmly believed it was a sin for a woman to wear pants. When she tried to convince me it was wrong I asked her to show me the scripture that had told her it was wrong ( she also got this from her mother in-law) She showed me a verse in the old testament. I could find it but Im sure others know of it. It states that a woman should not wear a mans apparel. Just a little farther down, I think in the very same verse it said that you should not wear a garment of mixed fibers such as wool and linen. I asked her with the way fabric is mixed today could she guarantee that she did not do that and she said she couldnt. I told her that I wasnt sure why it was in the bible but maybe it wasnt even talking about pants because Im not even sure they wore them back then. Then I said maybe it is saying a woman should not wear her husbands cloths. Whatever it meant it did not convince me it was a sin to wear pants.
