Man was given dominion over the animals wasn't he?
The Human Race has a responsibility towards the planet we were given.

I'm certainly no tree hugger, and I doubt I'd agree with much that those jumping on the band wagon have to say, but we need to quit taking a dump in our nest.

I'm not sure where some get the idea that we shouldn't take care of the planet because they hope the end times are coming soon.
If the world were going to end next week I figure we should still take care of it as well as we can till then.

PS
You guys should know by now that I think the greenhouse gases theory is a crock, blown out of proportion by about 10,000 percent, and that I figure it should be obvious by now that Global Warming of recent decades is due to increased solar energy output.
But just because the treehuggers are working themselves into an hysterical frenzy doesn't mean we shouldn't try our best to reduce pollution of every sort and conserve energy sources. Its just a good idea, regardless of the overhype.

PPS
Remember after the Flood God said he would never again scar the earth for man's sake.
If he decides to give mankind another spanking he'll do it without damaging the planet.
The end of the planet itself may coincide with the end of man but it won't be because of God destroying man.
21: And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.
22: While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
