I think your explanation regarding "amplification/enhancement" would have merit except for one problem: The passages cited are not parallel accounts of the same event. Rather, they are quotes.

I agree that accounts that may have different wording are not a problem for the KJVO person, except in those instances where those accounts are direct quotes.

In the example cited, if someone were to ask you what God said on that occasion, what would be your response? Did God say "persuade", or did he say "entice"?
If your answer is that both are acceptable, then you agree with me that God has caused multiple versions of the same text to exist within the KJV.

As for "blemishes", that's actually the term used by the KJV translators themselves.

It is interesting that the KJV translators argued against the very kind of thinking used by KJVO people today.
