There are some who believe that God still speaks directly to them today as He did in the first century as the New Testament was being written. Did we know anything about grace before our Lord Jesus came into the World? But today in the scriptures, we are assured that we have the complete will of God for man today. How do we know this? The Apostles were promised that the Holy Spirit would be given to " guide them into all truth." ( John 16:13) Now unless the Holy Spirit, God Almighty and Jesus Christ lied, we have all the truth and we had it back in the first century.

Paul tells us in II Timothy 3:16, 17, "all scripture was given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, completely furnished unto all good works."

If we are completely furnished than why do others seek more?

Jude 1:3 tells us the "faith" was once for all delivered unto the saints.

What else do we need? We have it all in what we find in God's Holy Word, the scriptures.

Hi Shain

Yes, we have the entire will and truth from God. We have it because he Bible tells us we have it as you have already posted.

I believe God still speaks to us today, through His written Word, through the Holy Spirit, through Christian Brothers and Sisters, and through prayer.

I also believe we in prayer and our time with God should seek His voice and we should do this daily. We need to be quite and listen for that inner voice to speak to us. We often have the Holy Spirit guide us and we also know this by God's Word.
