The rule in The Books is not to boil a kid in the milk of its mother. Kosher rules were devised to completely avoid the risk by separating all meat and dairy, all the time.

But if these rules were so good, if these rules were provided by an omniscient being, why did he allow them to lapse? Why didn't christains observe them, thus avoiding the huge die-off of the Black Plague?

And why did they burn the Jews for following the rules based on a book the christains claim to hold dear?
