Hi Keith,

Quote:
When you look at a river, is there a riverer? How about a cloud? Does it demand a clouder? Is a mountain implicit proof of a mountainer?

The answer would be yes, none of these just happened out of thin air, the laws of science proves this.

I know machines are crafted because i have seen crafter make machines. There are certain elements to design that imply a process.

These " elements " where did they come from?

Quote:
And ultimately, if the order of the universe demands a designer, doesn't the perfection of God demand another designer?

No because God is God, and that's why He's God. Besides that you cannot prove there is no God with 100% sureness. Even if you got up to 99.9 % that .1% might just be the proof you missed.

I played poker last night. I got a hand. Four eights and an ace (of clubs). The odds against that hand are one out of 52x51x50x49x48. Do those odds in any way argue that i did not, infact, have that hand? No. They only have meaning NOW if i'm going to wager on having the same hand again tomorrow.

In order for those odds to happen you had to have a cause and effect. So who generated this cause and effect? In this case you and those whom you were playing with. If you and your friends were not there no card playing would be happening at all. And in order for you to b there, you yourself had to have to have a beginning. And the odds of you just appearing out of thin air is beyond human reason. So your analogy is flawed and the man you ridiculed is correct.

Actually, since evolution occurs in infinitesimal steps, every fossil is a transitional form.

Nice try but where's the beef?

What i really like, though, about both Pilty and Neby was that it was scientists that eventually discovered the truth about both of them. That's what science is supposed to do. Reexamine, question, reevaluate. A bit slow, maybe, but an onward march towards the truth.

Truth? What is Truth? If you believe in TRUTH than you must also believe in UN-Truth? And who determines what is Truth and Non-Truth? Does a dog know Truth, how about a fish, or a worm, how about a rock?

Quote:
Is there any way that God could just have happened?

No, because the very thing you claim " Science" , is against you. Your very own logic points right back at the science you are so sure of and that's your problem.
