The shot that wins the game is the TOTAL LACK OF SCRIPTURAL SUPPORT for the KJVO myth. Of course I don't expect the KJV or any other English version to be mentioned in Scripture, but I DO expect to see it pointed to by some sorta implication. And there is simply NONE.

We Christians recognize Scripture as our highest written authority. Therefore any theory about Scripture MUST BE SUPPORTED by Scripture. Since there's no support for the KJVO myth, it simply cannot be true. To recognize this myth as true, one must place it ABOVE SCRIPTURE in authority, as it's NOT DERIVED from Scripture.

I reject the KJVO myth for many reasons, but its LACK OF SCRIPTURAL SUPPORT is enough in itself. If God had meant for the KJV to be the ONLY valid English version, He woulda said so somehow. Since when did He lose His ability to express Himself? He predicted lotsa other then-future things that have come to pass. I believe that if He intended for His word to have been limited to just the one version, He woulda SAID SO.
