steelmaker,
Quote: Shain, in your desperate attempt to defend Gipp, you're bypassing several of his mistakes, while concentrating on what you believe is a goof on MY part.
No I'm doing nothing of the kind. Gipp said Death Angel one night. You are saying that he said 7 days and he did nothing of the kind. This changes your entire argument. Now if you want ot tlak about " Easter verses Passover", we can do that.
To begin with, the Passover occurred before the feast of unleavened bread, not after!
"And in the fourteenth day of the first month is the passover of the Lord. And in the fifteenth day of this month is the feast of unleavened bread--seven days shall unleavened bread be eaten" (Num. 28:16,17; see also Mark 14:12; 1 Cor. 5:7,8, etc.).
Herod put Peter in prison during the days of unleavened bread, and therefore after the Passover. The argument that the translation "Passover" should have been used as it is intended to refer to the entire period, is ruled out by the inclusion of "these were the days of unleavened bread." Scripture does not use the word "Passover" to refer to the entire period.

Shain, you DO believe every word of the KJV, dontcha?
Ezekiel 45: 21, KJV...."In the first month, in the fourteenth day of the month, ye shall have
the passover, a feast of seven days
; unleavened bread shall be eaten.
John 18: 28, KJV...."Then led they Jesus from Caiaphas unto the hall of judgment: and it was early; and they themselves went not into the judgment hall, lest they should be defiled; but that they might
eat the passover.
The paschal meal had been eaten the previous evening, so this can ONLY be referring to a continuation of the Passover observance. Again, I believe GOD, Ezekiel, and John over Dr. Gipp.
Game, set, & match...unless ya don't believe your Bible.
