Shain:steelmaker,

You are a

Good! The whole KJVO myth provides me many a laff, as I watch its defenderzz tryta remove egg from their faces with a Q-Tip.

Quote: The Gipper Shoulda Stuck To Football!

Wrong guy, he never played football in the real sense of the word.

That was a satire. The Gipper was George Gipp, Notre dame football star of the 1920s, who was nicknamed "The Gipper". Yer buddy sam Gipp woulda done well to tried to follow him, as his "Wrone Answer Book" is a "gyp".

He went to a Bible Baptist School in Pensacola Florida. The Bible School that Dr. Peter Ruckman founded, and where many young preachers have been taught the TRUTH of God's Word so they could preach and teach the Word all over the world. :Amen :Amen :Amen So you're opening statement is in error. That sets the tone for the rest of your post.

I knew he went to that joint, as his wrong answers reflected Rucky's guff.

Quote:The Gipper has an agenda to push, and some books to sell, & he doesn't mind embellishing his "facts" with imagination to make either point. This is in response to his "Question Two" in his "Answer Book".

Have you ever meet the man? Do you know him personally?

Don't need to...his WORKS speak volumes about his errors & purposes.

His agenda is to preach and teach the Word of God. He has devoted his entire life to that.

Actually, it's to push the false KJVO myth.

Let me add to that this man lies in constant pain.

While I'm sorry to hear that, perhaps some of the pain has come from spreading a false doctrine.

His Book the " Answer Book." has equipped a many a young Christian with enough firepower to fend off those who constantly attack the KJV.

Prob is, his book's fulla WRONG answers. Yes, he's equipped many a gullible young Christian with a FALSE DOCTRINE. thankfully, many of these people are realizing the whole KJVO thingie is founded upon nothing but a big blort of guesswork, opinion, and imagination, ans, seeing there's not one quark of SCRIPTURAL SUPPORT for KJVO, not even in the KJV itself, they drop it like a hot potato & place all their KJVO reading material on their shelves labeled "fiction".

His Book is direct and to the point, never intended to be a scholarly and in-depth work, just enough information to give those a foundation and a solid footing on why we believe the way we do.

It's designed to mislead the gullible down the path to a FALSE DOCTRINE.

Quote: Feel free to look up the facts I'm presenting

What facts? Your opinion is what we have here.

Whassamatter? 'Fraid to look'em up?

Quote:The AV was authorized by KING JAMES. Nowhere does it say GOD authorized it.

What God Authorized was His Word and no man can ever do that.

So the term "Authorized Version" is entirely man-made. God did NOT authorize any one translation any more than he did any other. You cannot even begin to prove otherwise.

2Ti 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
2Ti 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

That's right....ALL SCRIPTURE. NOT just the KJV.

Pro 21:1 The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.

Ecc 8:4 Where the word of a king is, there is power: and who may say unto him, What doest thou?

That would be you and your side.....asking...

Sorry, but KJ's authority in this matter was strictly HUMAN, and his authorization doesn't mean squat to AMERICANS. Besides that, Henry VIII had already authorized the GREAT BIBLE. Funny, the KJVOs tend to ignore that FACT.

Dr. Gipp said:

Quote:( It must be remembered that the angel of the Lord passed over Egypt on one night, not seven nights in a row.)"

You said:

Quote:THIS IS GROSSLY INCORRECT! THE GIPPER COULDN'T BE MORE WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No, you are wrong. The Passover was " One Night" te " Feast of the Passover " is seven days. So Dr. Gipp is correct.

Sorry, but I believe your KJV over buth Gipp & yourself. Ezekiel, in Ez. 45:21 quoted **GOD** as saying, "the passover, a feast of SEVEN DAYS." The paschal 'feast' is as much a part of Passover as any other part.

Quote:JUST ASK ANY RABBI or other person knowledgeable about Judaism if the WHOLE WEEK is called Passover or not!

The Passover was " ONE NIGHT" Gipp said the Death Angel passed over " ONE NIGHT," not seven and he is right and you my friend are so wrong. If you sent this to Dr. Gipp he probably had a good old time with it.

But the observance lasts a week. I see you are avoiding my commentary along this line concerning John 18. Typical KJVO avoidance of FACTS which prove'em wrong.

I will deal with the " Easter" in my next post.

Good. While you're at it, please tell us how Luke wrote about an obswervance that didn't exist in his lifetime.
