I'd like to look at a couple of the troubling passages that were brought up in this discussion.

Daniel 3:25 -
"He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God."

The argument goes that, in Neb's furnace, Jesus was already the Son of God.

But let's examine Nebuchadnezzar's words in Daniel 3:25 more carefully -
"Lo, I see four MEN loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the FORM of the fourth is like the Son of God."

Notice that Neb describes what he sees in the furnace as four MEN and he says the fourth has a FORM.

Was Jesus a MAN before his incarnation?
Did He have a BODY as Nebuchadnezzar describes here?

What Nebuchadnezzar saw here was GOD MANIFEST IN THE FLESH before His Incarnation.

Do you remember when Peter, James, and John saw the GLORY of Jesus Christ's second coming BEFORE His second coming in Matt. 17?

What Nebuchadnezzar saw was the FUTURE CHRIST IN BODILY FORM.
I believe GOD gave Nebuchadnezzar that prophetic utterance so that we would KNOW that the Person Neb saw was none other than JESUS CHRIST. Neb says that this is the Son of God because he has been given a glance at prophecy.
"Unto whom it was revealed, that NOT UNTO THEMSELVES, but UNTO US they did minister the things!"

All the new Bibles MESS THIS UP by changing Dan. 3:35 to "a son of the gods."

The other big verse for the "eternal Sonship" crowd is Proverbs 30:4 -
"Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who
hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell?"

Now this verse clearly refers to Jesus Christ as the son before His incarnation, right?

Not so fast...

"For unto us a CHILD is born, unto us a SON is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6

Notice Isaiah 9:6 refers to Jesus Christ as a CHILD and a SON.

Was he a CHILD before His incarnation?

Neither was He a SON.

These verses are clearly prophetical in nature.
