Just don't read a paraphrase! trying to lighten up here.

A big AMEN, to that Ruth.

Brian, I too am going to be pretty busy until the first of the year, and then our new site, Christian Answers will be taking off...so maybe we could start after the first of the year. I would like to carry on a couple conversations with you!

Just a quickie...sometimes experience is a good trainer. I left the KJB for a time, as our old church changed over to the NIV. It was fine in the beginning, but over time, little niggles would get me, that I was missing something, or something being said that did not sound right, and I would have to keep getting my old KJ out to double check. That is when I found out whole VERSES were missing, and words that I had memorized that I believe were terribly important, had been changed, or again, completely left out!

After a couple years, I found I was no longer memorizing Scripture anymore, or not full verses, just phrases here and there... Well, one day I read a book about the translations and went back to the KJ, and in my spiritual life began to grow and mature, while finding that memorization to be easier again.

It was such a radical change both times, that it was convincing to me personally, without any in depth studies whatsoever about the different translations and what not, until later. However, even a cursory examination made me put my NIV away. The constant "nigglings' were confirmed.

Okay...see you in about a week! Have a great one. :-)
