Proverbs 30:4
Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name,
and what is his son's name
, if thou canst tell?
So it is there even in the Old Testament. Ex 3:13-15; 6:3; 34:5-7; De 28:58; Ge 32:29; Jg 13:18; Ps 2:7; Isa 7:14; 9:6; Jer 23:6; Mt 1:21-23; 11:27; Lu 10:22
Jesus is the Son of God in the flesh, but He is from eternity past and equal to the Father just as the Holy Spirit is, however we must remember that Jesus was not a created being because He had been with the Father from the very beginning. We do read in Hebrews that:
Hebrews 10:5-9
Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not,
but a body hast thou prepared me: In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure. Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God. Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law; Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.
It was God's plan all along to manifest Himself to the world in the person of His Son in the flesh. God is a spirit so if He wants to truly identify with His creation He becomes part of it in the likeness of sinful flesh.
Does this help any?
Blessings in Y'shua HaMashiach,
Beth
2Ti 2:15 - 19 Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;
Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.
Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
