On page 115, Norton says that only six new changes were introduced into the text since 1769. Half of them are in the Apocrypha. They are:
Lord not LORD in Nehemiah 1:10
Zacchaeus not Zaccheus 3 times in Luke.
He does not mention Ezra 2:26 "Geba" (PCE), which is "Gaba" in other editions.
He then gives a list of the main Cambridge differences with Oxford, a list which is incomplete. It appears he is using the Concord Cambridge, but he counts Exodus 23:23, which is in the PCE, and not in the London, Oxford or Concord Cambridge. This leads me to think that he has not differed between the PCE and the Concord, and that he may not even specifically be aware of the Ezra 2:26 difference.
He says on page 126 "By 1931 Cambridge ... current text was finished" and notes that "the date is indicative, not definitive" and that "This edition [Ruby 32mo PCE] had a long life ... 1966", and then in the very next paragraph after the word "finished" said, "Cambridge called its main edition ... 'concord'". It appears as if Norton does not give any details on the differences between the Concord Cambridge and the PCE, though on page 132 he quotes the managing editor who said that the Concord Cambridge was edited sometime after the second world war. But he does not care to give any specifics, and the people at Cambridge University Press whom I have conversed with know nothing other than Scrivener's book.
And Penguin Paperbacks claim that the KJB has never been correct should in no wise be read to mean that Nortons edition is correct.
