For authority, the KJB translators could simply view Coverdale and the Bishops' Bible.

It is possible that the KJV translators simply kept the rendering "cuckow" from the 1568 Bishops' Bible, but that does not prove that it is the most accurate rendering of the Hebrew word.

As has been noted in other threads, the KJV translators sometimes kept renderings from the 1568 Bishops' Bible that later editors had to change or correct. How do pre-1611 English Bibles that you claim had "impurities" provide "authority" for the KJV translators?
