Good Morning!! I hope everyone had a Wonderful Thanksgiving. Sometimes when things get tough we think God has abandoned us. Stop that kind of thinking. If your saved the LORD invested way too much to abandon us he sent his Son to die for us payment in full for us. Would you make a million dollar investment and walk away from it? We choose not to hear, obey, and listen and make life tougher, try to fix it ourselves. Thats not the LORD's fault blame us not Him. Have a Wonderful Monday.

But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children;

Psalm 103:22

Bless the LORD, all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the LORD, O my soul.
God's Large Down Payment--for You

2 Corinthians 1:21 Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God;

2 Corinthians 1:22 Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.

What does this mean, that God has given us the "earnest of the Spirit in our hearts"? When a man in Jesus' day intended to buy something he couldn't afford to purchase at that moment, he would put down "earnest" money. The greater the down payment, the greater the indication that full payment will be made.

For instance, if you're selling your home for $100,000 and a prospective buyer gives you $5, don't look for that person again. But if he gives you $50,000, he means business, and you know he's coming back.

In today's terminology, we would say that God has given us a down payment of the Spirit.

Do you think God is going to forfeit His Holy Spirit? No. God is not going to forsake you! He has too much invested in you!

I know not why God’s wondrous grace
To me He hath made known,
Nor why, unworthy, Christ in love
Redeemed me for His own.

But “I know Whom I have believed,
And am persuaded that He is able
To keep that which I’ve committed
Unto Him against that day.”

I know not how this saving faith
To me He did impart,
Nor how believing in His Word
Wrought peace within my heart.

I know not how the Spirit moves,
Convincing men of sin,
Revealing Jesus through the Word,
Creating faith in Him.

I know not what of good or ill
May be reserved for me,
Of weary ways or golden days,
Before His face I see.

I know not when my Lord may come,
At night or noonday fair,
Nor if I walk the vale with Him,
Or meet Him in the air.
