Jennifer wrote, "There are only two categories of people in God’s sight. Those who fear the Lord and live a righteous and holy life because of the "love of God shed abroad in their hearts by the Holy Spirit;" and those who still live in rebellion and sin and will not obey the voice of the Lord, but will go on living in trespasses and sin, as they have never had a real encounter with a Holy and Majestic God". Ephesians 1:10-14..." That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him: In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, -being predestinated- according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory"... Romans 9:19-25..." Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will? Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus? Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour? What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction: And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory, Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles? As he saith also in Osee, I will call them my people, which were not my people; and her beloved, which was not beloved"... Greetings Jennifer in the precious name of our Lord! It is always good to read your articles, in that you try real hard to not leave any stones unturned. Very few times I find fault with what you are saying, even though I wished you would go a little farther with your doctrines. There is no fault here as far as your thoughts are concerned, and I can understand your logic in why you made the conclusions that you made. I believe they are coming from a sincere and true heart of a born again soul. However, there is something I would like to bring to your attention, that you are either overlooking by mistake, or you differ in it doctrine wise, and that is that God does not see man at all. When Jesus was buried, all sinful man was buried, once and for all with Him, no exceptions. God will not, does not, nor will ever have to look upon sin anymore. Apostle Paul was bringing this to our attention in Romans 9 when he wrote..." What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, -(endured with much longsuffering)- the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:"... We also know that Paul brings our attention to the dispensation of the fulness of times, meaning the time endured until Jesus was born. If we take to heart the things that God saw and said about the state of our human condition, none of us would even have the heart to get out of bed, much less go out and interact with our fellow human beings. What our great and Holy God sees is His Son Jesus, and the doctrine of us being hid in Him, is not only real, but crucial as well. This is the very reason Apostle Paul brought to our attention that we were already crucified with Christ. Galatians 2:20-21 says..." I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. I do not [frustrate] the --grace-- of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain". The simple truth about what we as humans see and hear from a lost and dying world isn't the same as what God hears and sees, and this is why Jesus is the one mediator between man and God. God sees and hears Jesus, and Jesus alone, and by what we can plainly read in the Scriptures, this is His divine will and purpose. The vessels that are fitted to destruction are there for God's wrath to be manifested upon, even though they are made from the same mold as the vessels of His mercy. I do understand that we are to rebuke, admonish, and persuade man of sin and unrighteousness, but I am fully persuaded that the Spirit of Christ does this Himself, by manifesting Himself in our own personal lives. We do not just simply choose to love Him; we love Him because He first loved us. We do not seek after Him, but He came to seek and to save that which was lost If we have this love that is from God shed abroad in our hearts, it is because we were already predestinated to have it, because He already fore knew us before the foundations of the world. Lot was a character that allowed the sins of people to vex his soul on a daily basis, but because of his ignorance to God's plan, he allowed this to rule in his life, making him a man of no perception even though God declares him righteous. To fear the Lord with all our hearts and minds is obviously too tall of an order for any of us sinners here on Earth, but because it isn't about us, we can rest assure that Jesus, whom we are now hid in, did exactly that. We read this in Hebrews 5:7, and it reads..." Who in the days of --his flesh--, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that [he feared;]"... We, who know our Lord Jesus, can be fully persuaded that He is able to save even to the uttermost, and it isn't because of our fear, but it is because of our Lord Jesus' fear. This thing about letting go comes with a high personal price for all of us, and that is that we must cease from our works, and completely trust in His finished work. If we can learn to understand this about God's good pleasure, the yoke we bear is not only light, but also it is easy to bear. We must fear lest a promise slips us of entering into His rest, that any of us would come short of that. We will not frustrate the grace of God by saying that there is something we need to do, but we will worship the Lord in thanksgiving knowing that we are rested in His finished work, and this is in His Spirit, and in His truth, no exceptions. Those that work iniquity will have their reckoning, but I am persuaded that these are the very ones that were never lost in the first place. Well once again let me reiterate that I appreciate your heart and your logic, but let me also emphatically state that what you say can very easily frustrate the doctrine of grace, and just know that I will be praying that our Lord sheds even more light on this subject for all of us that do come into repentance.2 Peter 1:2-8..." Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be [partakers] of the ---divine nature---, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the ---knowledge--- of our Lord Jesus Christ"...
