There is an interesting corralation between these two passages of Scripture that I want to share with you. The first thing I see is the Word of God. "Let there be light"....and "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased", the Word spoken by God our Father. The other I see is the Spirit of God upon the face of the deep in Genesis, yet in Matthew the Spirit of God lighting upon the Son of God after coming up out of the water. This is remarkable and a very beautiful picture. First, about the water, and what it represents
Thanks Jerry, that makes an interesting parable, and another correlation, other than the water and what it represents, I believe could be, from “whom” we draw that clean water from, as the fountain of life. It can be seen between those verses you offered and the verses below, looking at the fact that Jesus, our loving and merciful God, the great ,I AM, is the light of the world and in Him there is no darkness, when we walk in His light.
John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
1Jo 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
