Again, when I said that I was speaking in the context of the term person in the creeds.

Again, as a modalist would twist them. You are not using the term, or the creeds, correctly.

No you don't mean person, you mean hypostasis otherwise you would stick with the definitions of the word person found in the English dictionary. We can't just make up definitions for words that are already defined.

I am making nothing up, nor using terms in ways uncommon to Christianity. Neither the Creeds nor Scripture were originally written in English. When they were translated into English, "person" was the word commonly used for "hypostasis", and used as such by those affirming orthodox Trinitarianism. Thus, your definition is wrong, and putting the little dictionary you pulled off your shelf up against nearly 2,000 years of church history is not comparing apples with apples. Your lack of knowledge about these things is not support for your claims.

True brethren study the Scripture, and interpret Scripture with Scripture. Can I get you to see that the creeds you often cite are of Catholic origin,

The early church laid out the Creeds, and the early church laid out the NT Canon. Your argumentation is exactly the same argument used by someone else I was debating who wants to throw out certain NT books, and add others. And you, like him, cause red flags to raise simply by the act of opposing the orthodox Christian position, regardless of your noble-sounding reasons.

and that hypostases is a word that the average person cannot understand?

You don't have to understand it. You should simply stop arguing against it, especially since you admit you do not understand it. Once you understand it, and if you still disagree, then put forth your case. Until then, all you're accomplishing is demonstrating your pride in that you think you are right and nearly 2,000 years of fundamental Christian doctrine is wrong, based on something you admit you don't even understand in the first place.
