Shain,
I know we disagree with this subject and as I have always been honest with you and told you I am not an "onliest". I will not conform to any "ism" when it comes to my faith life. I fully stand on my education and know that I did not study Greek and Hebrew that is wrong in regard to what KJVonlist will teach. Let us not go there ok? I will always write & share what I have gained through education and what I know of Scripture. It is up to each individual reader to make a judgment.
You said,
" I am not an "onliest".
Yes you are, you are a Hebrew Text Onyliest and Greek Text Onlyist. You use it to over ride any English Version not just the King James Bible. You have done it before and you are still doing it. Be honest, why do you always run to the Hebrew to correct the English Versions? You do realize that we no longer have the " Originals ". But in reality you are saying the Hebrew and Greek Text; anyone of them; is better than any English Text today. Not trying to pick a fight here just telling it as I see it. You have taken up the position that the Hebrew Text is better than any English Bible we have today, not just the King James Bible. You use it to correct the English which tells me that your Final Authority rest in the Hebrew and Greek and not in any known English Bible known to man today. If I'm wrong than please correct me if I am and please use English when you do....Funny stuff here.
Now about this Education thing, nothing at all wrong with it. But to say that you stand on your eduaction and that's your foundation over any English Version is a little over the top don't you think? I wonder how many Apostles would say what you just said about their education?
Paul says this about man being smart:
- Corinthians 1:25 (New International

25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength.
- 1 Corinthians 1:25 (New American

- 1 Corinthians 1:25 (Amplified Bible)
25[This is] because the foolish thing [that has its source in] God is wiser than men, and the weak thing [that springs] from God is stronger than men.
- 1 Corinthians 1:25 (New Living
Translation)
25 This foolish plan of God is wiser than the wisest of human plans, and God's weakness is stronger than the greatest of human strength.
- 1 Corinthians 1:25 (King James Version)

- 1 Corinthians 1:25 (Contemporary

- 1 Corinthians 1:25 (Wycliffe New
Testament)
25 For that that is folly thing of God, is wiser than men; and that that is the feeble thing of God [and that that is the
sick thing, or frail, of God], is stronger than men.
- 1 Corinthians 1:25 (New International

- 1 Corinthians 1:25 (Today's New
International Version)
25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength.
Not much wiggle room there..
"Confounding the Wise." Turn to 1 Corinthians 1:20, and then
continue with verses 27-29:
20 Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this age?
Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
27 But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise,
and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things
which are mighty;
28 and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has
chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to
nothing the things that are,
29 that no flesh should glory in His presence.
You see, I'm not smart enough to say, Is that What God said? Gen.3...was the very first time man questioned what God said. I thank God Almighty I have not
reached that level of my education that I can now question what God said, in Hebrew, Greek or English. I will say one thing more, There are no Hebrew or Greek
Manuscripts out there that can ever replace the King James English Authorized God ordained and God Preserved Bible.
